Gratitude during hard times

Have you ever been to that point in life where you can't take one more thing, and someone comes along and says, "just be grateful it could be worse."

Have you ever thought, "I'm going to be grateful when..."

What is the point of being grateful anyway and how can we use gratitude to live a more fulfilling life?

Gratitude is more than words, it's action! It's easy to make a list of all that we are grateful for once a year at Thanksgiving time- but what about the rest of the year?

What if gratitude is a muscle and he more you work on it the stronger it gets.

Everyone you meet is fighting a battle that you know nothing about - so what if the next encounter that you have that goes less than favorable you just pause and be grateful (instead of mad, or sad,or bitter).

Grateful that you could have this experience and learn how not to be-how not to treat someone.

It's during the challenging times when it is hardest to be grateful that we can build our gratitude muscle the most.

The experiences that you go through no matter how unfair, or wrong, or "not the way you planned" - this is how we can use gratitude to make it through the worst of times.

If you go through a tragic experience and cannot find anything to be grateful for- at least be grateful you have earned how it feels and can help others through it.

You can help someone in a way that no one else can because they don't know what it's like.

I used to think that I had a particularly hard life, but the older I get the more I realize that everyone:

is going through a trial

Just got done going through one

Or ,is about to be going through one

Life doesn't get easier if you have more money, or if you're more righteous, or any of that-life is always going to keep on happening, so we must find the gratitude now. Through the hard times. During the good times.

Gratitude makes all that we have and all that we are enough- and welcomes more into our lives!  To be great we must be grateful.

Take the time every day to be grateful and let others know that you appreciate them. It doesn't matter how grateful you are if the person you are grateful to doesn't know!

It matters. You matter. Gratitude matters.
